Facebook ads for insurance agents

Facebook Ads for Insurance Agents

Facebook ads for insurance agents work when the ad asks about one line of business and somebody reaches the person in seconds. Nobody opens Facebook wanting to compare carriers, so the ad has to supply the reason, and your agency has to be the first voice they hear, because a quote request is worth very little an hour later.

Example call conversation between Nora, an AI assistant for Crestview Insurance Group, and a lead named Priya.

  1. Nora (AI): Hi Priya, this is Nora, an AI assistant for Crestview Insurance Group. You asked about bundling auto and home. Is now a good time?
  2. Priya: Yes. My renewal just went up a lot.
  3. Nora (AI): I hear that a lot this year. When do your current auto and home policies renew?
  4. Priya: Auto at the end of next month. Home in the spring.
  5. Nora (AI): Got it. How many drivers and vehicles, and is the home a single-family house?
  6. Priya: Two drivers, two cars, single family.
  7. Nora (AI): Thanks. A licensed agent will compare carriers and walk you through options. I can't promise savings, but they'll show you exactly what's available. Tomorrow at 11:00 AM or 4:00 PM?
  8. Priya: Four works.
  9. Nora (AI): Booked. Have your current declarations pages handy so the comparison is apples to apples.

Booked: Bundle quote review, Tomorrow, 4:00 PM, With a licensed agent.

Offers

Offers that get quote shoppers to raise a hand.

The offer is the ad. We pick one per campaign, test it against a second, and keep whichever books more appointments.

  1. 01

    A rate check before renewal

The renewal notice is the trigger. Asking when a policy renews finds the people already annoyed and gives your agent a date to work back from.

  2. 02

    Bundle auto and home

The highest-value quote in personal lines and the easiest to explain in one line. It also doubles what you learn on the first call.

  3. 03

    Cover for one trade

Pick a trade, not businesses. An ad that says contractors beats a general commercial insurance ad every time, because the reader recognizes themselves.

  4. 04

    Medicare and final expense, carefully

Real demand and heavy policing. Run these only on creative your carriers and compliance have already approved.

After the click

From ad to booked in minutes.

Ads only pay when someone books. This is what happens to every lead, at 2 PM or 2 AM. It's our speed to lead system on AI appointment setters.

  1. 1

    Instant form or landing page

Instant forms bring more quote requests with less intent, a page brings fewer and warmer. We run both and compare on quotes issued, not on leads.

  2. 2

    Contacted in seconds

An AI agent calls or texts while they are still scrolling. A shared lead is worth something in the first few minutes and close to nothing after the first hour.

  3. 3

    Collect what the quote needs

Renewal dates, drivers and vehicles, property type, prior claims, and the current declarations page so the comparison is like for like.

  4. 4

    Booked with a licensed agent

With the notes attached. Quotes, coverage advice and binding stay with licensed people, always.

Creative

Angles we test first.

Real people and real work beat stock photos. We produce the rest with AI and ship fresh creative every week, before the old ads wear out.

  • A licensed agent on camera

Thirty seconds of the person who will actually call, explaining what happens on the quote call. It beats a stock family photo because it answers who is ringing.

  • The renewal increase

Lead with the letter they just opened. A rate increase is why most people start shopping at all.

  • What a broker actually does

Most people do not know a broker compares carriers for them. Say it plainly. It is the entire pitch and almost nobody runs it.

  • Named towns and real reviews

Insurance is bought locally even when it is sold nationally. Local proof lifts a cold audience more than another discount claim.

Before you launch

Rules we build around

  • Insurance sits in a restricted category on Meta in several markets, which strips out detailed targeting and narrows what the copy may say. Build the audience with the creative instead of the targeting options.
  • Never promise savings, approval or coverage in an ad or a first message. Comparing several carriers is a claim you can support. Saving $500 usually is not.
  • Medicare and final expense carry CMS and carrier rules on top of Meta's. Get the creative approved before it runs, not after an account gets paused.
  • Texting a lead needs consent captured on the form with your agency named, and the record kept. A purchased list is not consent, whatever the vendor says.

Calls and texts only go to people who opted in on your form. How consent works.

What we report on

What your Meta Ads report shows.

Booked appointments first, then the numbers that explain them.

01
Cost per lead
The number Meta shows you. Useful, but only the first line of the report.
02
Speed to first contact
Seconds from form submit to the first call or text. This is where most Meta leads are won or lost.
03
Contact rate
The share of leads who actually pick up or reply, which tells us whether the form is collecting real people.
04
Cost per booked call
Ad spend divided by calls on your calendar. The number we optimize toward.
05
Show rate
Booked calls that happen. Reminders and rebooking from the agent move this more than anything.
06
Revenue per ad dollar
Closed revenue you report back against spend, once deals start closing.

I don't usually do testimonials for people but we've been able to generate a tremendous amount of additional monthly income with Executive Stride. Their team is super supportive and basically hand you results on a silver platter.

I can personally attribute over $20k/mo of additional monthly income to Josh and the team at Executive Stride with their LinkedIn strategies alone. If you're not working with them I don't know what you're doing.

Getting leads is fantastic, we have a small team and actually had too much coming in and I had to reel it back a little bit, which is a good problem to have.

FAQ

Facebook Ads for Insurance Agents: questions, answered.

Anything else, ask us on the call.

Do Facebook ads work for insurance agents?
They do for personal lines and for a single commercial trade, as long as the follow-up is immediate. The audience is not searching, so the ad creates the intent and the first call has to arrive while that intent still exists. Agencies that treat these leads like inbound search traffic conclude the channel does not work.
What should an insurance lead cost on Facebook?
It varies by line, state and season, and the number on its own tells you nothing. Measure cost per quote issued and cost per policy bound instead. A $12 lead that never answers is more expensive than a $40 lead that takes the call.
Can I target people whose policy is about to renew?
Not directly. Meta does not offer that, and the restricted category removes much of the targeting you might reach for. You ask instead: the ad and the agent both ask when the policy renews, and the answer drives the follow-up schedule.
Instant forms or a landing page for insurance leads?
Instant forms win on volume and lose on intent. A landing page asks for more effort and returns people who are further along. Most agencies should run both for a few weeks and judge them on quotes issued rather than on cost per lead.
Is it compliant to text insurance leads?
With consent captured on the form that names your agency, yes, and with opt-outs and state calling hours honored. The agent says it is an AI assistant, every conversation is logged, and your compliance team approves the scripts before launch.
